Sandy’s talent for design began at an early age when her mother taught her how to sew and encouraged her to change store bought patterns to fit her own style. Her first job, sewing for a local ballet company, merged her love for fashion with theatre.
design experience includes spending 8 years as a Fashion Designer in
both Seattle and New York City---working for Nordstrom, Lord &
Taylor and Mavi Jeans. She has also done freelance work for Marc by
Marc Jacobs, Victoria’s Secret Pink and Converse One Star.

Sandy also taught for three and half years as the Assistant Professor of Costume & Make-Up Design at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She now lives in Maryland where she is the Resident Costume Designer at Annapolis Shakespeare Company, teaches Make-up for the Stage at UMBC and is the Costume Shop Manager for the Washington Revels. She holds a BFA in Theatre from the University of Utah and a MFA in Costume Design from Illinois State University.
